Below that sits a layer of Viscosoft’s tranquility visco faux latex. This material feels slightly more responsive, which helps prevent sleepers from “sinking” inside the mattress.

Beneath this layer sits a thin hybrid transition layer which is designed to eliminate motion transfer.

The main support layer consists of 6” of pocketed springs. These individually-wrapped nine gauge coils allow room for airflow, which is beneficial for hot sleepers.

Sleeping Hot or Cold

The Viscosoft Edge Hybrid is a great pick for hot sleepers. The cooling cover helps lower body temperature, and the coils make the bed feel particularly breathable. Even though this bed contains quite a bit of foam, which is known to trap heat, we don’t expect this mattress to make sleepers feel hot at night.

Motion Transfer

Most hybrid mattresses don’t isolate motion well, which can cause issues for couples who sleep in the same bed. Fortunately, the Viscosoft Edge hybrid has a transition layer which helps cut down on some of that movement and makes it a great mattress for motion isolation.
