I’ll be breaking down the DreamCloud mattresses, including the Original, Premier, and Premier Rest. I’ll dive into how they performed during testing, as well as how you can try and buy these beds online and in person.
If you’re in the market for a new DreamCloud mattress but not sure where to start, you’ve come to the right place. In the seven years Mattress Clarity has been operating, our team of expert testers and certified sleep science coaches has tested more than 500 mattresses, including all the DreamCloud models. In just 2024 alone, we helped 5,919 people purchase a new mattress based on their individual sleeping styles, body types, and firmness preferences. Today, I’m here to break down where to buy a DreamCloud mattress and everything you need to know about each of the brand’s high-quality mattress models so you can find the best new hybrid or memory foam mattress for you.
We tested these DreamClouds using our proprietary testing methodology to evaluate their performance in categories like pressure relief, cooling, edge support, motion isolation, and more. These beds are available in 4,000 authorized retail partner stores and showrooms across the nation, so you can try them out for yourself in person. Regardless of whether you buy online or in a mattress store, DreamCloud offers a 365-night sleep trial period and a lifetime warranty.
Where to Buy a DreamCloud Mattress Video Guide
How to Buy a DreamCloud Mattress
Whether you prefer online shopping or want a traditional, in-store shopping experience, DreamCloud has you covered. The bran’s mattress models are available for purchase via both shopping methods.
Online
Some shoppers are hesitant to buy an online mattress after reading mattress reviews because they think they’re less likely to enjoy a bed they haven’t tried in person. However, DreamCloud understands this fear and combats it with a generous 365-night trial period. This means that you can return or exchange your mattress any time within a full year after delivery, so you have plenty of time to break it in and determine if it’s compatible with your sleep needs. You can buy a Dreamcloud through the brand’s website and a number of other online retailers, including Amazon.
DreamCloud is considered a bed-in-a-box brand, which is exactly what it sounds like—the mattress will arrive at your door compressed in a box. All you have to do is open it up and allow it to fully inflate. Shipping is always free within the contiguous United States, and delivery typically takes about a week. If you’re shipping to Hawaii or Alaska, there is an additional fee of $250
If you’re not interested in the bed-in-a-box method, DreamCloud offers white glove delivery for $199. If you choose this option, it includes setup of your new mattress and the removal of your old one.
In-Store
If you want to lie on a DreamCloud mattress before you purchase, you can do all your DreamCloud mattress shopping at thousands of authorized retail partner stores and showrooms across the United States. Even if you buy in store, the mattress will come compressed in a box unless you opt for the $199 white glove delivery.
Can You Test a DreamCloud Mattress in Person?
Absolutely. There are thousands of locations across the country to visit and try a DreamCloud mattress in person. If you want to know who sells DreamCloud mattresses, you can find a list of mattress store locations near you using the store locator feature on the DreamCloud website. Simply enter your city or zip code to find the nearest store. The locator will also show which mattresses are available to test, since not every store offers all of the DreamCloud mattress models.
Even when you buy in person, DreamCloud still provides its 365-night home trial and lifetime warranty.
DreamCloud Mattress Models
DreamCloud offers three mattresses: the DreamCloud Original, the DreamCloud Premier, and the DreamCloud Premier Rest. Each mattress is sold in both a memory foam and a hybrid mattress model, so you can choose the construction you prefer. We recommend the foam models to side sleepers, who will find a tad more sinkage and contouring around their shoulders and hips for optimal pressure relief. DreamCloud hybrid mattresses are excellent for promoting spinal alignment in back and stomach sleepers, and certain models are still soft enough for side sleeping.

The DreamCloud is a hybrid mattress that offers great support for back sleepers and nice cooling for hot sleepers. Its mix of foam and coils ensures you get the right amount of support, while its breathable materials ensure you don’t sleep too hot. It is a bouncier mattress, and if you prefer more of a memory foam feel, consider the Nectar mattress. Learn more in our video review.
TheDreamCloud Original is the brand’s flagship model and is marketed as an affordable luxury hybrid mattress. When we tested this bed in our studio, we rated it a 7.5/10 on our mattress firmness scale. Our firmness scale goes from 1 to 10, where 1 is the softest and 10 is the firmest. A score of 6.5 marks a true medium-firm mattress, so this model is definitely on the firm side.
The firm feel makes the hybrid a great choice for back sleepers of all body types, as the softer top layers of gel memory foam fill in the space at the lower back, providing some nice cushioning. Below the foam, a firmer layer of individually wrapped coils lifts the hips in line with the shoulders and props the spine into a straight line. When our tester Marten Carlson tried the DreamCloud, he said, “I felt best whenever I slept on my back. Because this mattress has a firmer feel, it offers plenty of lumbar support. My hips sank into the top layer slightly, but my back stayed in a neutral alignment.” We also think lightweight stomach sleepers will find enough support at their hips to prevent unnatural bending at the spine, thus preventing lower back pain.
If you tend to wake up feeling overheated, the DreamCloud should offer a good sleep experience due to its 4-star cooling abilities. The layer of pocketed coils adds space inside the bed for hot air to flow without becoming trapped. Further cooling comes from the breathable cashmere-blend cover and two layers of gel-infused memory foam that help draw heat away from the body. When Marten measured the temperature of the DreamCloud with a thermal gun before and after lying on it for seven minutes, he found just an 8.5-degree increase. As he was lying there, he didn’t notice the bed heating up underneath him, so we think hot sleepers can appreciate this bed.

The DreamCloud Premier is a luxurious hybrid that gives you the feeling of sleeping in a nice hotel. Its combination of foam, coils, and cooling materials make it an ideal pick for both back sleepers and hot sleepers as well. At the same time, it is plush enough for the majority of side sleepers. However, if you sleep on your stomach, take a look at the firmer DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid mattress. Learn more in our video review.
The DreamCloud Premier is a slightly plusher and more luxurious version of the DreamCloud Original. Unlike the Original, the Premier features a soft Euro top that includes two extra inches of quilted memory foam. This makes the Premier softer than the Original, falling at a 6.5/10 on our mattress firmness scale. This is the industry standard for a true medium-firm bed, which makes it compatible with a variety of sleeping positions and body types.
The soft cushioning on the Premier makes it an excellent mattress for side sleepers, who can benefit from the pressure relief it provides at their hip and shoulder joints. Our tester Marten Carlson said, “It offers an excellent balance of comfort and support because of its soft pillow top and sturdy coils. The pillow top has a cushy feel that should cradle you without letting you bottom out.” We also think this model is a great choice for back sleepers due to this balanced feel.
Based on our motion isolation test, we think the DreamCloud Premier could be a great option for couples, especially if you or your partner tends to toss and turn at night. We tested motion transfer by placing a glass of water on one side of the bed and then switching sleeping positions on the other side. We observed the water’s reaction and whether it gently rippled or aggressively sloshed around. We didn’t see too much disturbance in the glass, so we gave this bed 4 stars for motion isolation. You might feel larger movements from your partner, such as getting in and out of bed, but typical tossing and turning shouldn’t disrupt your sleep.

The DreamCloud Premier Rest is a medium-firm hybrid mattress that’s versatile enough to accommodate a wide range of sleepers. The plush pillow top and individually wrapped coils create a balanced feel that should appeal to back and side sleepers. Couples should appreciate the impressive motion isolation and responsiveness. See our full DreamCloud Premier Rest video review for additional information.
The DreamCloud Premier Rest is the brand’s tallest, most supportive, and most luxurious model. Like the Premier, the Premier Rest falls at a 6.5/10 on the firmness scale, so it has a medium-firm feel. The hybrid mattress contains a soft pillow top, a 2.5” layer of comfort foam, and an additional layer of support foam that gently eases the sleeper onto the 8.5” layer of coils below. Whether you choose the hybrid or all-foam model, you’ll find tons of pressure relief while still benefiting from its outstanding support.
While this bed has a medium-firm feel, we found the top layers of foam to be extremely plush, offering lots of soothing cushioning around the hips and shoulders in the side-sleeping position, regardless of body type. The mattress’s body contouring is especially beneficial for side sleepers with hip pain, and we even found it to be supportive enough for heavy sleepers in this position. Mattress tester Marten Carlson, who is 6’7” and 270 lbs, said he was pleased with the Premier Rest’s combination of sinkage and support. “I felt great whenever I rested on my side,” he said. “The plush pillow top cushioned my shoulders and hips, and I didn’t feel any pain.”
The Premier Rest Hybrid is also a great choice for combination sleepers and sexually active couples due to its bouncy, responsive feel. The tall layer of coils adds enough bounce to help sleepers transition between positions without getting trapped in its foam layers. When we tested the bed in our studio, we found good mobility and thought it was super easy to move around on. You should be able to switch positions seamlessly without using too much effort.
A new mattress is a major purchase, so reading all the fine print is important to ensure you’re completely informed. Below, I’ll break down DreamCloud’s most important company policies — shipping, delivery, returns, sleep trial, and warranty.
Shipping
Good news: All DreamCloud mattresses come with free shipping within the contiguous United States, whether you’re purchasing or returning. DreamCloud does ship to Alaska and Hawaii, but there’s an additional $250 charge. They do not offer international shipping, which includes U.S. territories.
Delivery
DreamCloud is a bed-in-a-box mattress brand, so your new mattress will arrive compressed in a box at your doorstep. When you open the box, the mattress will be wrapped tightly in plastic. All you need to do is open it up and wait for it to fully inflate, which can take up to 72 hours. If you notice a strong chemical scent, don’t worry. This is called off-gassing, and it’s typical for beds-in-a-box. The scent should fully dissipate once the mattress has fully inflated.
If you don’t want the bed-in-a-box experience, you can add DreamCloud’s White Glove Service to your order for an additional $199. This includes mattress setup and the removal of your old mattress.
Returns
DreamCloud mattresses are eligible for returns within the 365-night sleep trial period. Returns come at no additional cost, and DreamCloud will put you in touch with a concierge who will work with you to figure out the best way to remove the mattress. Exchanges are completed in the same manner, and you don’t need to keep any of the original packaging.
Sleep Trial
When you order a DreamCloud from the company website, you’ll get one of the best trial periods in the industry—a full 365 nights. If you decide over the course of one year that the DreamCloud mattress isn’t right for you, you can work with a DreamCloud Sleep Concierge to have it donated to a local organization or disposed of in your area.
Warranty
DreamCloud offers a limited lifetime warranty on its mattresses when they’re purchased from the company website or from an authorized retailer. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser of the mattress only and can’t be transferred. It protects you from certain defects in material or workmanship, such as visible indentations greater than 1.5 inches that aren’t the result of insufficient support foundations.
In the event of a covered defect in the first 10 years of ownership, DreamCloud will replace your mattress. After you’ve owned a DreamCloud for 10 years, the company reserves the right to repair or re-cover your mattress instead of replacing it. Make sure you keep your receipt when you buy your mattress—you’ll need it for any warranty claims.
FAQs
Are Dreamcloud mattresses available in stores?
Yes, DreamCloud mattresses are available in 4,000 mattress store locations in the United States.
How long will a DreamCloud mattress last?
We expect a DreamCloud mattress to last the standard 7-10 years. But because each mattress comes with a lifetime warranty, the brand expects it to last for quite some time—potentially even longer than that average lifespan.
Are DreamClouds better than Nectars?
We can’t confirm which mattress is “better,” because it’s completely dependent on the sleeper’s personal preference. However, we can say that both brands offer a 365-night sleep trial period and lifetime warranty. The Nectar mattresses also come in both hybrid and all-foam models, but don’t have the same quilted cover as the DreamClouds.
How long does it take to get a DreamCloud mattress?
If you order a DreamCloud mattress from the company website, shipping times can vary depending on the type and size of mattress you choose. Once your mattress ships, it generally takes two to five business days to arrive.
Can I sleep on a DreamCloud mattress right away?
You can sleep on a DreamCloud mattress right after you open it, but you may want to wait. It can take up to 72 hours for a DreamCloud to fully expand.
How does the DreamCloud trial work?
Every DreamCloud mattress purchased on the company website comes with a 365-night home trial. That gives you plenty of time to test the mattress thoroughly. If you decide the mattress isn’t a good fit, contact DreamCloud to work with a sleep specialist for local donation and disposal, as well as a refund.
