Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid Mattress Overview
Nolah is a bed-in-a-box brand with a line of very comfortable all-foam hybrid mattresses. The Nolah Original, Nolah Signature, and Nolah Evolution Hybrid regularly appear at the top of our best-of list. The Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid is a twist on the Nolah Signature mattress. While their comfort layers are the same, the All-Foam Hybrid features a proprietary foam support system meant to mimic the support and response of coils.
The Nolah Signature All-Foam is definitely one of the most interesting hybrid mattresses I have come across. While there’s a lot to love about it, it’s going to work better for certain types of sleepers.

Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid Mattress Firmness And Feel
I’ll start off by talking about how firm the Nolah mattress felt during my tests.
How Firm Is The Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid Mattress?
On a firmness scale of 1-10, the Nolah Signature Hybrid scored a 6.5/10, which is exactly medium-firm. The top layer of AirFoam is very soft, so you’ll sink in a good bit. However, the transition and support layers are much firmer. Combined, these layers give the Nolah Hybrid a good balance of comfort and support.
Sleeping On The Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid Mattress
Back sleeping on the Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid mattress, my hips sank into the top AirFoam layer while the foam support layers held up my body. While the mattress does not feature coils, the Nolah did not lack in terms of support.
Side sleeping, I felt a bit of pressure around my shoulders and hips. I will note that I weigh 270 lb, and those who weigh less than me shouldn’t have the same experience.
When I moved onto my stomach, the Nolah Signature was not firm enough for me. I felt my hips sinking forward into the AirForm comfort layer, and I was not getting the proper amount of support for stomach sleeping.
What Does The Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid Feel Like?
Overall, the Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid mattress exhibits a bouncy, balanced foam feel. The AirFoam comfort layer and foam support layers are both very responsive so, while you’ll sink into the mattress, you should have no trouble moving around.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130 lb – 230 lb
Average weight back sleepers will get the perfect amount of comfort and support on this mattress. The hybrid foam support system should even offer enough support for those who weigh closer to 230 lb.
Side sleepers in this weight range should also enjoy the Nolah Signature Hybrid. While I sank too far into the mattress, that should not be a problem for average weight side sleepers. They should only feel the soft comfort of the AirFoam.
If you are an average weight stomach sleeper, you will most likely want a firmer mattress overall. If you weigh closer to 130 lb, it could be supportive enough for you but, generally, stomach sleepers will want something firmer.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230 lb
The Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid mattress is not made with larger people in mind. Because of this, heavier sleepers won’t get enough support for back or stomach sleeping. Like me, they will also feel too much pressure when side sleeping.
Heavier people should consider the Nolah Evolution Hybrid or another mattress for heavy people.
Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130 lb
While the Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid mattress won’t work well for heavy people, it’s a dream mattress for lightweight sleepers. If you weigh less than 130 lb, you should get what you need while back, side, and stomach sleeping. Combination sleepers should take note of the Nolah Signature Hybrid!

Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid Mattress Performance
I ran the Nolah Signature Hybrid through a number of tests with regard to cooling, motion transfer, and edge support. Let’s see how it did!
Sleeping Hot Or Cold
While the Nolah Signature Hybrid is an all-foam mattress, it shouldn’t trap too much heat. The cover is moisture-wicking and breathable while the AirFoam is designed to be more breathable than standard memory foam. Even the transition layer allows airflow through the mattress. All in all, you shouldn’t be sleeping too hot on this mattress!
Motion Transfer
While it is a bouncier mattress, the Nolah Signature Hybrid still handles motion transfer well. Its thick layer of AirFoam will isolate motion to each side of the mattress. This means you and your partner can move around without disturbing one another. It should be a good mattress for couples.
Edge Support
For an all-foam mattress, the Nolah Signature Hybrid has good edge support. It collapsed when I sat near the edge but, when I was lying down, I did not feel like I was going to roll off the mattress and onto the floor. This will allow sleeping partners to utilize every square inch of the bed.
Durability
The Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid mattress boasts some high-density foams. Based on its materials and construction, the Nolah should last for at least seven to ten years. Its lifetime warranty should also give you peace of mind!
Off-gassing
Off-gassing occurs when you open a new bed-in-a-box mattress and notice a chemical smell. This is normal with online mattresses, and the smell should dissipate in a few days. That was my experience with the Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid. I left it in a well-ventilated room for 48 hours, and the smell was completely gone.
Noise
The Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid made no noise when I moved around and changed positions. This is one benefit of an all-foam mattress – it’ll never make a peep!
Sex
The Nolah Signature is a bouncier mattress that should be good for sex. Its responsive nature should make it easier for sexual partners to move around easily.

How Does The Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid Compare To Other Mattresses?
Let’s do a little comparison shopping. How does the Nolah stack up against its competitors?
Nolah Signature Hybrid vs DreamCloud
The DreamCloud is one of the most popular bed-in-a-box hybrids out there. Unlike the Nolah, it features coils in its support layer and it is topped with a cashmere pillow top. The coils add some more bounce to the mattress, and it is also firmer than the Nolah Hybrid.
The coils also allow for more airflow than the foam support layer of the Nolah. Because of this, the DreamCloud should be a cooler sleeping mattress overall. However, at full price, the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid mattress still costs less than the Nolah Signature All-Foam Hybrid.
Who Should Get The Nolah Hybrid?
- Those who want something softer
- Side sleepers
Who Should Get The DreamCloud?
