The BCOZZY Chin Supporting travel pillow is a neck pillow designed for those stuck in (or prefer?) a middle seat who have to sleep facing forward. The pillow is available in a range of colors and patterns and comes in three different sizes, including Child and Adult XL. This pillow will support the chin, but will it work for a redeye flight? Check out my video review or read on for more details below. Please let me know if any questions come up – just comment below.

Who Makes It?

BCOZZY was started when the creator of the BCOZZY Neck Pillow and his wife were traveling on vacation and were unable to find a comfortable travel pillow. After a lot of testing and market research, the BCOZZY pillow prototype was created, according to the company’s website. The travel pillow was nominated as an innovative travel accessory in 2015 at the International Travel Goods Show in Las Vegas.

Pros

  • Has some of the best, if not the best, forward-facing chin support in a travel pillow
  • Affordable and available at multiple retailers
  • Easy to clean (machine washable and line dry)
  • Lightweight
  • The travel pillow is comfortable in various positions, including lower back if needed, but is especially good for a middle seat

Cons

  • Based on my experience, I’m not sure it’ll work for a long-haul flight
  • The pillow does not connect at the arms, which means it might shift during adjustments
  • Low-hanging earplugs/headphones might interfere (depending on size)

My Experience

The BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow really lives up to its description in terms of chin support. The design and supportive polyester filling allow for the “arms” of the pillow to overlap underneath my chin and keep it elevated. This, plus the flat back design, will allow anyone stuck in the middle seat of a bus, train or plane to rest without neck strain. Simply place the pillow around the neck and allow the overlapping sections to lay wherever the most support is needed. Because the sections really do wrap around the neck snugly, the pillow holds itself in place decently well. That being said, if there is a change in positions or a person gets up to go to the bathroom during a trip, the pillow will certainly move or fall off the neck entirely. BCOZZY Travel Pillow Flat Back Feature The BCOZZY comes in a variety of colors and patterns but only one cover fabric and filling option (polyester and polyester!). It can be machine washed but it will need to be line-dried only – so allow time for that. There is a little snap attachment on the back of the pillow. Use this snap to attach the travel pillow to a suitcase or backpack for easy traveling. It can’t be rolled up or condensed, so it won’t get much smaller than its current size. BCOZZY Travel Pillow Snap attachment for travel While I do recommend it as a chin supporting travel pillow, it can easily be used to rest the head to the side or even to place it on the lower back for lumbar support. My one design request/plea for the company would be to add velcro or some sort of adhesive to the long arms of the travel pillow so it can stay secured to the neck. With this feature, I would feel more confident recommending it for longer-haul flights or redeye flights. BCOZZY Travel Pillow provides solid chin support

Overall

There is a lot to like about this simple but effective travel pillow. It does a great job of adding enhanced support to the chin (or wherever one decides to place the overlapping portions of the pillow). It’s lightweight, easy to clean and affordable. If someone needs a pillow in a pinch, it’s easy to purchase online or in many stores. It comes in many colors and patterns, some more subtle than others! BCOZZY Travel Pillow chin supporting neck pillow comes in multiple colors I do think this pillow is great for those in a middle seat who want additional neck or chin support. I am hesitant to tell people to grab it if they need something to sleep with for long periods. I say this because any shift or movement will loosen the pillow around the neck and cause the person using it to adjust accordingly and possibly wake up. Check the return policies from the specific retailer and price compare to get this for the best price! Curious about other travel pillow options? See my list of best travel pillows.
