How Does the Casper Rise Pro Adjustable Bed Frame Work?

Let’s get to know the Casper Rise Pro base even better! Next, we’ll detail how this adjustable base works, including its construction, settings, and extra features.

Design

Let’s start off with a look at the how this base is designed! Parts The Casper Rise Pro base is made from a metal frame with adjustable legs. Foam and fabric surround the main (non-leg) part of the frame to add some cushion and soften the frame’s overall appearance. The frame contains two motors, which power the head and foot areas so they can raise and lower. Remote Control The remote control pairs with the motors in the base so you can easily adjust the frame with the click of a button. The remote includes several preset functions, which we’ll detail below. A hand holds the Casper Rise Remote over the surface of a mattress Different Settings
  • Standard setting. As you’d expect from any adjustable bed frame, the Casper Pro Rise Adjustable Base allows you to raise and lower the head and foot areas to find a position that’s comfortable for you.
  • Anti-snore. The anti-snore feature raises the head area slightly to a level that could help relieve pressure on the sleeper’s airways. This should minimize the chances of snoring.
  • Zero Gravity. With the click of a button, the adjustable base will elevate your body so you feel a bit like you’re sleeping in Zero Gravity. This can relieve pressure on the body.
  • Memory. The base comes with two memory settings, so you can program it to remember your favorite positions.
  • Massage. The massage function includes two modes and three intensities in two zones of the bed.

  • USB port. The built-in USB ports make it easy to charge a phone, tablet, and so on from the comfort of your bed.
  • Optional headboard brackets. For an added cost, you can purchase headboard brackets that enable you to use a headboard with the adjustable base.

Casper Adjustable Base Mattress Compatibility

The Casper Rise Pro base is designed to work with any mattress that’s compatible with an adjustable base. So you don’t need to have a Casper mattress to use this adjustable bed frame. We tested the Rise Pro base with the Casper Wave Hybrid mattress and found that it worked fairly well. Even though the Casper Wave Hybrid is a thicker mattress, it didn’t bunch up or rise off the frame when we lifted and lowered the head and foot areas. The mattress was held in place by the wire frame at the end of the bed. In addition, make sure to check out our best mattresses for adjustable bases.

Putting the Casper Adjustable Base Together

In our experience, it’s pretty easy to set up the Casper Rise Pro. The adjustable bed base comes completely expanded in one box. You’ll just need to cut the zip ties, put on the legs, and flip over the frame before adding your mattress. The remote comes paired with the frame, so you don’t need to worry about any technical setup. A hand screws the leg onto the bottom of an adjustable base

Casper Rise Pro Adjustable Base Performance

We personally evaluated the Casper Rise Pro to assess its adjustability, wall-hugging, noise, durability, and more. Let’s see how this base performed!

Materials

The Casper Rise Pro Adjustable Base is made with sturdy materials overall. It primarily consists of a long-lasting metal frame, and the foam and fabric on the outside should also be fairly durable. If you are looking for something with some higher-end materials, read our Purple Ascent Adjustable Base review.

Adjustability

This base has a wide range of adjustments. The head section can move from flat to a fully upright seated position. The leg section offers three leg-height options that range from flat to resting the thighs at a 45-degree angle. A man lies on the Casper Adjustable base with the head area slightly inclined

Remote Control

The remote control on Casper’s adjustable base is intuitive and easy to use. It doesn’t have the most advanced number of settings, but it still offers some nice features including a massage function.

Wall-Hugging

In our experience, the Casper Rise Pro Adjustable Base does not perform very well when it comes to wall-hugging. The head area moves away from the wall when we incline it. For something with better wall hugging, consider the Saatva Lineal adjustable base.

Noise

We did observe some noise from the motors in this adjustable bed base, which is to be expected. This isn’t the noisiest base by any means; we’ve heard much louder.

Durability

Thanks to its metal frame and sturdy design, the Casper Rise Pro Adjustable Base should last for at least 10 years if not more.

Zero-Gravity Function

Casper’s Rise Pro base features one of the better zero gravity functions that we’ve tried. Press the Zero G setting and you should be pleasantly surprised to find that it relieves pressure on the lower back. This can be a major benefit for anyone who suffers from back pain.

Anti-Snore Function

When you push this button, the adjustable bed’s head section will rise ever so slightly. As noted above, slightly elevating the head can reduce or eliminate snoring by relieving pressure on the air channel so it’s easier to breathe.

Massage

We enjoyed the massage function on this adjustable bed frame. There are two modes and three intensities for both the head and foot areas. We were pleased to find that you can feel the massage feature even through a firm mattress. For another base with great massage features, consider the Nectar adjustable base review.

Additional Features

The USB ports are a nice addition to this adjustable base. You can charge your phone or other small electronics without getting out of bed.

Pros and Cons

Alright, you’ve now learned a ton about the Casper Rise Pro Adjustable Base! So let’s sum up what we’ve learned by taking a look at this frame’s pros and cons.

Pros

  • A good value
  • Easy to set up
  • Great massage features

Cons

  • Short sleep trial
  • Not the best at wall-hugging
