I’ve reviewed a few Luxome products here at Mattress Clarity in addition to the ClimaSense. The company is all about giving its customers a luxurious sleep experience, and in my opinion, the products do hold up to that mission. The LAYR pillow is an adjustable and customizable pillow with many different options to meet a wide range of needs. And the Luxury sheet set does feel luxuriously soft.

Luxome ClimaSense Comforter Materials
Let’s take a look at the materials that go into the Luxome ClimaSense comforter.
Cover
The outer cover of the Luxome ClimaSense comforter is made with a blend of cotton and polyester. It is mostly cotton, using 80% cotton to 20% polyester. The polyester is a unique material called 37.5 polyester.
37.5 active particle fabric is a material that has been designed specifically for temperature regulation. It will regulate your body temperature, which means it can dissipate heat during warmer months, but insulate heat during colder months. It also keeps you at an optimal humidity level, so you shouldn’t feel sweaty while using this either.
It features a baffle box construction, meaning the cover is sewn through to keep the fill evenly distributed. In each of the corners, you’ll find loops to attach a duvet cover to it. This is a plus for those looking to add some color to the comforter, as it only comes in white.
Fill
On the inside of this comforter, you’ll find a fluffy polyester down alternative fill. This is a blend of 75% standard polyester fluff with 25% of the 37.5 polyester. This also helps the comforter stay temperature neutral and keeps you from overheating or feeling too cold.
Warmth
Because the comforter is designed to be as temperature regulating as possible, it will feel warm and fuzzy during the cold months. And with the baffle box design, the fill stays fairly even throughout the comforter. In my testing, I found that I didn’t need to fluff the comforter much, if at all.
Allergies/Allergens?
The Luxome ClimaSense comforter is completely hypoallergenic. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, this comforter should not cause problems. It is soft to the touch and it won’t trap allergens in your sleep environment.

Full disclosure, I’m always a little nervous to test comforters, and it has everything to do with the fact that I tend to run hot, or I get hot pretty quickly. Comforters are known for their warmth and fuzziness. Even with the temperature regulating 37.5 technology aspect to the ClimaSense, I always wonder if it will actually work.
When I first settled into using the ClimaSense, I definitely noticed that extra warmth right away. This is expected, of course; my body temperature hadn’t adjusted to the new warmth, and the comforter hadn’t started working its magic yet.
I’d say after about 10 minutes is when I noticed my body temperature started to regulate with the comforter. I notice heat collect around my legs most of the time, and that’s the reason I kick things off as well. And at that 10 or so minute mark, I hadn’t kicked off the comforter.
It was also around this time that I finally was able to drift off into sleep (I cannot fall asleep if I’m burning up). It was nice to be able to use a comforter and not kick it off almost immediately! And I was also surprised considering, at the time of my initial testing, it was the start of summer in Austin, where temperatures hit 90 by midday easily.
Truthfully though, I don’t see myself using this comforter year round. I just run too hot during the summer and need the thinnest layers while I sleep. But come wintertime, this will be a great choice.

Caring for the Luxome ClimaSense Comforter
Unfortunately, the ClimaSense comforter cannot be machine-washed. Luxome recommends spot cleaning or dry cleaning when it gets dirty or when accidents happen.
If you’re worried about accidents, you can also opt for using a duvet cover to give the comforter a bit of protection.
How does the Luxome ClimaSense Comforter Compare to other Comforters?
These days there are some really high-quality comforters on the market. I’ve taken the time to compare the ClimaSense comforter to two comforters that use other materials, bamboo and down, from popular brands Cozy Earth and Brooklinen.
Luxome vs Cozy Earth
Both Luxome and Cozy Earth aim to sell a luxury sleep experience. Luxome’s ClimaSense is great for those who love a fluffy cotton comforter that keeps them temperature neutral. But Cozy Earth’s comforter is more for those who love a soft, silky bamboo cover. You can even opt between a bamboo fiber or silk fill to really get the luxury experience.
However, if you want a comforter to be big and fluffy, the Cozy Earth comforter doesn’t give that experience. It does come in two warmth options, but the bamboo fill in the standard warm that I tested created a very thin and lightweight comforter. Both should be good for hot sleepers, but they work in different ways to achieve this.
The Luxome ClimaSense has the unique 37.5 polyester, which dissipates heat. The Cozy Earth comforter uses bamboo, which is breathable and moisture-wicking, and is a much thinner comforter, which shouldn’t make you feel hot and sweaty.

Luxome vs Brooklinen
Down comforters are popular because they give sleepers a soft, cushiony feel while they sleep, and one of the best comes from Brooklinen. What sets this apart from the Luxome ClimaSense is all in the materials. Brooklinen uses a 100% cotton cover, while Luxome uses a cotton/polyester blend with the 37.5 technology.
This makes the Luxome ClimaSense a better choice for hot sleepers who are concerned about overheating, as down can be a natural insulator. However, Brooklinen does offer three different warmth options for people who love down comforters, but maybe want a lightweight option. The ClimaSense only comes in one warmth option, but it does use down alternative instead of down if that’s what you prefer to use.

From the day the ClimaSense arrives, you’ll have 30 days to make exchanges or returns. This effectively acts as a trial period. If you decide that the comforter is not for you, you can return it within that 30-day period.
Be sure to include any Luxome packaging (not cardboard) in your return, and try to keep the comforter as “like new” as possible. Luxome will provide a prepared label, but the shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.
