Average-weight stomach sleepers might not get enough support and need a firmer mattress.

Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230 lbs

Heavier back sleepers should feel a good balance of comfort and support. Their hips may sink into the mattress a bit more than average-weight sleepers, but they should still feel some good contouring. Heavier side sleepers might feel significant pressure on their hips and shoulders and should probably look for a different mattress. Similarly, heavier stomach sleepers may feel their hips bow into the mattress, causing lower back pain over time. Instead, heavier stomach sleepers will want to look at the best mattresses for heavy people.

Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130 lbs
